Zentari
The digital twin for cultivated meat
Design and validate the texture, structure and bioprocess of cell-based meat and seafood in silico, before you commit wet-lab time and budget.
Every physical iteration is slow and expensive
The cultivated meat industry knows its bottlenecks: growth media responsible for the overwhelming majority of production cost, bioreactor designs with no path to scale, and texture targets months of wet-lab trial and error away. Industry roadmaps demand radical cost reductions, yet most design decisions continue to be tested the slow way: by building them.
I spent years mapping these bottlenecks in macroeconomic analysis, EU research monitoring and hands-on bioreactor experiments. To remove them, I built Zentari.
The shift
Without a digital twin
Design → build → test → repeat. Weeks per cycle, lab costs per iteration, trapped knowledge in notebooks.
With Zentari
Design → simulate → rank → validate. Minutes per cycle in software; the wet lab only sees the worthwhile candidates.
Design. Simulate. Validate. Learn.
Zentari runs the whole design loop in software, anchored by two product surfaces: Texture Studio, where designs are created and explored, and the Texture Passport, the validation report, which each design earns.
01 · Design
Start from a product brief
Define the texture, structure and product goals for a cultivated meat or seafood design, or bootstrap from an image of the real thing.
02 · Generate
Explore candidates at machine speed
Zentari generates and ranks candidate scaffold and structure designs against your brief, narrowing a vast design space to the test-worthy few.
03 · Simulate
Grounded in physics
Physics-based simulation predicts how a design behaves before it exists: nutrient perfusion, printability, bite mechanics and cooked-state behaviour.
04 · Validate & learn
Every run makes the next one smarter
Results come back as a structured validation report (a Texture Passport). So that each iteration starts further ahead, they feed the models.
Who it's for
Cultivated meat & seafood producers
Hit texture and cost targets with fewer wet-lab cycles.
Scaffold & biomaterial developers
Evaluate designs against real product briefs before prototyping.
Bioprocess engineers
Test perfusion and process assumptions in silico first.
Food & equipment partners
Shared validation reports create a common language across the chain.
Product family
One operating model, two frontiers
The Zentari operating model carries a brief to validated candidates: brief, candidate, scorecard, evidence, learning. Two products apply it.
Zentari
Early accessThe digital twin for cultivated meat. Texture Studio and the Texture Passport carry a scaffold design from product brief to validated candidate, with physics-based simulation at the core.
zentari.bio →Zentari Nano
Research stageA compiler for programmable molecular devices. From a molecular function brief, Zentari Nano proposes nanoscale device candidates; it ranks them across behaviour, safety, manufacturability and evidence maturity; it learns from assay outcomes. The platform serves nanomedicine, synthetic biology, diagnostics and smart-materials teams within a disciplined research and design-support frame.
Where Zentari is heading
- Phase one, early access. Private design twins for selected partners: brief in, ranked candidates and validation reports out.
- Phase two, shared validation. Texture Passports as a common, portable proof of what a design does, across teams and partners.
- Phase three, an ecosystem. Provenance and compatibility across materials, processes and products, ending the industry's habit of re-learning the same lessons.
Zentari is in active development. The described capabilities reflect the current platform direction.
Why this founder
Zentari is built by Christian Busse, AI product manager at IBM, MBA, and corporate affairs specialist in cell-based agriculture. From analysing the industry's bottlenecks to building the tool, which removes them: the reports on this site are the homework behind the product.
